What is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is a viral infection caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It can range from mild symptoms to serious illness requiring hospital care.
How is COVID-19 Spread?
It spreads through respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, talks, or breathes. It can also spread through contaminated surfaces, though this is less common.
Who is at Risk?

- People with health conditions (e.g., heart disease, diabetes)
- Pregnant women
- Immunocompromised individuals
- Traveler’s to high-risk areas
Signs and Symptoms:
- Fever, cough, and shortness of breath
- Loss of taste or smell
- Fatigue, sore throat, and muscle aches
- In severe cases, pneumonia and breathing difficulties
When to Consider Vaccination:
- Before travelling abroad
- If you have underlying health risks
- If you work in healthcare or with vulnerable groups
Do
- Stay up to date with your COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters as advised
- Follow local travel and entry requirements for COVID-19 vaccination or testing
- Wear a mask in crowded or poorly ventilated places, especially during flu/COVID season

- Assume one dose gives lifelong protection
